This Dress Up Doll knitting pattern is an exceptional template for endless creative opportunities! I've created a basic cropped open-front cardigan pattern that allows for a variety of finishes. With this pattern, you can embroider polka dots! You can knit stripes! You can embroider on flowers or stars or any kind of decorative details! Double knit a heart or monogramming! Pattern is written for a solid-color cropped, open-front cardigan shown in first photo. Doll instructions not included. 
 
Though the pattern may be simple, it has an all-over garter stitch giving a nice texture, it has a cropped fit to show off the dolls shapely body, and it has an opening at the front by tying or by button closure. If you are relatively new to knitting, don't sweat it! Most of the techniques used in the pattern are common, however some experience is recommended with increases, decreases, attaching sleeves, wrap-and-turns.. 
 
Please note: I recommend using the same yarn you used to knit the doll to ensure a good fit. You will simply need to use a larger size knitting needle! You can use a different yarn, but it will need to be the same gauge as your doll yarn choice!
