This Dress Up Doll knitting pattern is an exceptional template for endless creative opportunities! I've created a basic cropped and cabled sweater pattern that allows for a variety of finishes. Pattern is written for a solid-color cropped sweater with a cable centered up the front, shown in first photo. Doll instructions not included.
Though the pattern may be simple, it has an all-over garter stitch giving a nice texture, featuring a cable running up the length of the front, it has a cropped fit to show off the dolls shapely body, and it has a half-open back with button closure for easy removal. If you are relatively new to knitting, don't sweat it! Most of the techniques used in the pattern are common, however some experience is recommended with increases, decreases, attaching sleeves, wrap-and-turns. Sweater partially knitted in the round.
Please note: I recommend using the same yarn you used to knit the doll to ensure a good fit. You will simply need to use a larger size knitting needle! You can use a different yarn, but it will need to be the same gauge as your doll yarn choice!

Dress Up Doll Cabled Cropped Sweater PDF Knitting Pattern
Materials I used:
Cascade 220 Aran (about 120yds of it)
On Sz 6 DPNs or circular of your choice. If using the same yarn as your doll, you will need to size up one needle size (my doll was knitted on sz 5 using this yarn)
Additional Materials and Tools needed:
*24" waste yarn cut in half
*cable needle
*tapestry needle
*five stitch markers with one being a different color for the BOR
*3/8" or 1/4" button
